What UPSC asks. Mains GS I asks about the meaning and dimensions of social empowerment, the effectiveness of reservation and affirmative action, and the empowerment of specific groups (Dalits, tribals, persons with disabilities, transgender persons). Prelims asks constitutional Articles, amendments, commissions and Acts. The chapter overlaps with GS II (welfare schemes for vulnerable sections).
