Border Management

India shares about 15,107 km of land border with seven countries and has a coastline of 7,516.6 km (Department of Border Management, Ministry of Home Affairs). Each border has a different terrain, a different neighbour and a different threat — which is why India follows the principle of “one border, one force”.
